Senior Backend Engineer

Assurely is building an insurance infrastructure engineering team.
We are seeking a seasoned backend engineer to both build out our product and maintain existing tech as part of our insurance infrastructure team. If you are experienced in working with server-side components and want to change the way financial services are delivered, you have come to the right place.
The needs of our clients are ever-changing and so is our product. You will be architecting new features for our customers, refactoring existing code to be more scalable, and seeing changes through to completion in a live environment. Effective communication, a passion for code craftsmanship, and experience with complex microservices are a must.
Requirements
5+ years of experience working as a backend engineer
Expert in C# up to and including the latest version (9.0 Records, pattern matching, etc)
Experience with Document Databases with an emphasis on MongoDB
Well versed in message driven architectures (NServiceBus & MediatR) in process/out of process, commands vs queries, as well as understanding of when to send commands vs publish events.
Well versed in the general tech stack for .NET HTTP APIs (FluentValidation, AutoMapper, OpenAPI, etc)
Fluent in authentication/authorization via Cookie and JWT. Ideally have experience with IdentityServer but not required.
