VP, Platform Growth - PropTech

Assurely is looking for a  dynamic, versatile growth professional to play a crucial role growing existing and developing new revenue partnerships. 

Assurely’s early success in developing and executing embedded distribution strategies is ready to be expanded upon and grown significantly.  

Our existing and targeted Partners include vertical SaaS platforms, FinTechs, lenders, and tech-enabled operating systems focused on but not restricted to construction, contractors, trades and other verticals within the greater Construction and Real Estate industries.

The VP, Platform Growth - PropTech role is a unique opportunity to blend channel growth, business development, insurance product development, carrier management, and Partner/ channel management into a role that contributes to the larger Assurely vision of becoming the next generation of insurance. 

You will be working closely with Assurely’s leadership team to drive a core business development function of our business.  The environment is a fast-paced, frenetic early-stage environment, with all the perks and challenges of said environment.  That last statement will excite our ideal candidates because Assurely’s VP, Platform Growth will thrive in dynamic environments where learning, testing, and iterating is the preferred path to their customers’, partners’, and team’s success.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies to grow existing and new revenue partnerships, with a focus on key sectors like PropTech, FinTech, and vertical SaaS platforms.

  • Collaborate closely with the leadership team to identify, negotiate, and manage strategic partnerships that align with Assurely’s vision.

  • Work with relevant team members to build and enhance insurance offerings, ensuring they meet market needs and partner requirements.

  • Oversee the implementation and go-to-market strategies for new and existing partnerships, ensuring seamless execution and growth.

  • Build and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of continuous learning, testing, and iteration.

  • Contribute to the overall business strategy by providing insights and recommendations on market opportunities, competitive positioning, and growth initiatives.

Requirements

  • 5+ yrs working in a professional, high-growth, and/or technology-influenced environment

  • Track-record of success in B2B, Channel partnership, or Enterprise business development or sales

  • Experience with deal implementation and/or managing a partnership’s go-to-market experience

  • Proven ability to navigate and succeed in both structured corporate settings and unstructured, high-growth environments

  • Obsessed with sales personas and a have applied a systematic approach to market opportunity evaluation, target market segmentation and go-to-market strategies

  • Insurance experience/ acumen or minimally FinTech/ other highly regulated industry experience

  • Preference for software and technology 

Nice to haves

  • Current insurance licensing

  • Deep industry knowledge in FinTech  or PropTech

  • Deep relationships and/or success partnering with vertical SaaS platforms

  • Both operated at scale, as well as has startup experience (or scaled something from scratch at a larger company)

  • MBA or Graduate degree

  • (New) product marketing experience or acumen

PThe compensation package is a combination of salary, equity, health insurance, and being part of the mission to create the future norm of the insurance industry.
